Activity Manager
The Activities Managers key responsibilities are the implementation, smooth running, administration, and ultimate successful delivery of all non-academic aspects of the Summer School Programme. They must lead, motivate, and professionally develop the Team Leaders and Activity & Welfare Leaders.
Your main duties will include:
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality activity and excursion programme through booking adequate facilities, writing the programme & leading the department.
- Deliver a quality induction to all staff, setting clear expectations and using the Ardmore way to set standards.
- Lead regular meetings with the team to discuss client feedback and adjust the programme if necessary.
- Ensure all policies are being followed with particular focus on H&S and Safeguarding. Maintain accurate administrative records (programmes, rotas, training records etc).
- Monitor stock of activity materials & centre-hired items, arranging replenishment and return of all unused stock.
- Act as Duty Manager on a rota basis, taking possession of the centre phone and overall accountability for the operation of all areas of the centre during this period.
- Liaise with Operations Executive to ensure you have accurate booking information and feedback any issues with stakeholders.
- Maintain and manager positive working relationships with key stakeholders and contractors.
Essential Criteria:
- Strong communication & leadership skills
- Strong organizational, IT & administrative skills
- Ability to motivate and enjoy working with large groups of students. Resilient with a solution focused approach when problem solving.
- High Level of Professional conduct Ability to create and sustain working relationships with students.
- Eligible to work in the UK and 18 years old or over.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous summer school experience.
- Customer Service Experience Adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
- Hold a valid First Aid Certificate, Lifeguard or sports coaching qualification.
- Valid DBS and/or Overseas Police Checks (Ardmore can assist with this).
