Arc Cinema Launches Recruitment Drive for 30 New Jobs in Preston

Arc Cinema has announced a recruitment drive to fill 30 new full or part time jobs in Preston at its upcoming multi-screen cinema located within the Animate complex.

The cinema, which is set to feature eight screens equipped with state-of-the-art technology including recliner seating and 4K laser projection, is part of a larger £45 million development that will also include a bowling alley, six restaurants and a food hall.

The venture, located near to the city’s Market Hall, marks a significant investment in the local economy and aims to boost the cultural landscape of Preston.

Positions on offer at the new Preston venue, set to open next Spring, include general cinema operators and cleaning staff, as well as some managerial roles.

Richard Pollit, a Lancashire local with over 15 years of experience in the cinema industry, will lead the team at the Preston cinema.

Announcing the recruitment drive in the North West, Mr Pollit said: “I am thrilled to be part of this exciting project and to help bring The Arc Cinema’s premium experience to Preston. As a Lancashire local, it’s particularly meaningful to see this investment in our community and to play a part in creating new job opportunities for the city.”

The latest Preston venture will be Arc Cinema’s seventh location in the UK, having already launched previous cinemas in Beeston, Daventry, Great Yarmouth, Hucknall, Peterhead and Rotherham.
