Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recruitment Consultant working for a training provider based in Newcastle upon Tyne supporting employers that are recruiting Apprentices to work within their businesses.This is a well-established provider with over 55 years’ experience in the training sector where they now offer apprenticeships in Business Administration, Customer Service and Management to mention a few. As an Apprenticeship’s Recruitment Consultant, you will be responsible for Interviewing, selecting and recruiting unemployed 16-24 year olds into apprenticeship and traineeship vacancies. You will also engage and consult with employers on their organisational needs to support upskilling along with their Learning and Development requirements. The package available for Recruitment Consultant - Apprenticeships:Basic salary of £24000 plus on target bonus of £8000.21 days holiday plus Christmas shutdown and public holidays.Excellent career opportunities.The role of the Recruitment Consultant – Apprenticeships:Conduct meeting with employers to promote all areas of training including recruitment, Apprenticeships, Traineeships and any other relevant services both over the phone and face to face.Liaise with other business areas to ensure a quality service and meaningful learner journey.Advertise all vacancies within agreed timescales and build strong relationships with employers.Actively cross sell programmes for employed team members and provide Information, Advice and Guidance.Ensure that CRM systems are always up to date and that paperwork is completed to a high standard and submitted within required timescales.Follow the aftercare process with learners and match unsuccessful candidates to alternative vacancies.Liaise and build relationships with external agencies including schools, Connexions, Job Centre Plus and other training providers.Maintain knowledge of funding rules and attend meetings to maintain the company profile.Update social media and actively promote vacancies and services on LinkedIn and Twitter.Skills, knowledge and qualifications required for the position of Recruitment Consultant – Apprenticeships:Maths and English at Grade C/4 to 9 or above (or equivalent).Experience and knowledge of apprenticeships would be an advantage.Experience and knowledge in recruitment would be an advantage.Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as being resilient.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.Able to work under your own initiative and show adaptability.The position of Recruitment Consultant – Apprenticeships is subject to an enhanced DBS check.This position is being managed by Matthew Spencer at Pertemps Work Based Learning – for more information please call .
