Job Description

Summer Internship: Clinical CVRMWhat are we looking for?We are looking to appoint an undergraduate student who is currently in their second or third year of studying a science degree and is interested in pursuing a career within a large global pharmaceutical organisation. We are particularly interested in candidates who want to learn about how science graduates contribute to the development plans for a new medicine and explore potential populations and indications.Passion, integrity and a sense of fun are key to this role, as well as the ability to work as part of a team. You should be curious about the pharmaceutical industry and passionate about using big patient data to develop and test hypotheses. You should also have a good academic background and be prepared to apply your knowledge in a practical way. What can we offer you?Our purpose is ambitious and so is our approach. Becoming a more agile and creative company means building a dynamic, inspiring culture where we celebrate diverse, ambitious thinking and act with a sense of urgency. We are courageous, taking risks and learning from both success and failure. We are curious, creative, and open to new ideas and ways of working. Above all, we are passionate about science and driven to always put patients first. Join us and be part of an outstanding place to work; an environment that energizes and empowers each of us to achieve our goal to develop and deliver medicines.During the 6-8 week internship, there will be opportunities to be involved in helping to advance knowledge about potential indications for a new asset within the CVRM portfolio of medicines. You'll use data to evaluate patient unmet needs, assimilating a large body of data to develop a clinical review on the target and potential therapeutic applications for it. You will be encouraged to develop materials for submission for publication at a major clinical academic meeting in 2022.Applications will be open until Tuesday 28th of June . Please submit a CV and covering letter. Interviews will be held virtually. The placements will take place over 6-8 weeks, from end of July. A salary will be paid.
