Job Description

Passion for the events & hospitality industry and seeking an administrative opportunity? Are you an experienced Administrator who is seeking an exciting and varied position within the events industry? Do you have a passion for working within a fast paced and challenging environment? We currently have an opportunity for a Hospitality Administrator to join our Jockey Club team, to be based at Haydock Park Racecourse on an initial 12 month fixed term contract. The Jockey Club is the largest commercial group in British horseracing and Haydock is right at the heart of this business, it’s where stars are made and champions forge their reputations and the Hospitality Coordinator will play an integral role coordinating 32 race-days. What will I be responsible for? As a Hospitality Administrator you will assist in coordinating arrangements for the famous Aintree Grand National festival in April. This is a varied and challenging role that involves liaising with a range of clients both through various communication channels and face to face. You will therefore be a confident and engaging individual who also demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will have good computer literacy and overall office skills. In return, you will have the opportunity to train and develop your skills and make the most of your career. We believe that our people are our business, so along with the tools and support you need to get to where you want to go, well make sure you have fun along the way. We are dedicated to creating a positive place where the best people want to work. Is this the right role for me? To fit in with us, and for us to be right for you; you will ideally have proven experience within an Administration role and will be an outstanding communicator who is confidently able to assist senior managers. Due to the varied nature of the role, this role is well suited to an individual who is flexible to maintain a presence at Aintree & Haydock on race-days during the racing season and who is comfortably able to manage multiple work streams.
