Recently graduated from university and looking to make the next step? We are offering data-driven graduates a fantastic 18-month graduate scheme exploring the growing world of Ecommerce here at Pattern.

What is the Pattern Graduate Scheme?

Our 18-month scheme will see you rotate around three key areas of Pattern, where you will benefit from support of a buddy program with fellow colleagues, and mentoring from senior experts. Equally timed to move through from your start in Consultancy, to Brand Management followed by a more in-depth look at Advertising.

Once completed, the scheme will offer the opportunity to transition to the most relevant team for each candidate with a permanent position in the company.

What will the 18-month scheme look like?

Rotation 1: Consultancy

Delivering consultancy projects that help brands to refine and accelerate their digital proposition, gaining an understanding of what it takes for brands to excel in the ecommerce landscape.

  • Conduct in-depth research for projects including competitor research, scorecards, benchmarking analysis and market research

  • Learn how to do complex data analysis to help forecast patterns in research data

  • Become an expert in digital deck building and be able to effectively prepare presentations on PowerPoint/Slides that tell a story for the client

  • Learn how to liaise with clients and build relationships with external stakeholders across a variant of communication platforms

Rotation 2: Brand Management

Understand how to grow a brand on multiple marketplaces in Europe; learn the commercial levers to drive performance and manage relationships with key brands.

  • Learn the building blocks of driving growth on marketplaces: SEO, content, creative, inventory management, pricing, promotions and marketing investment amongst others.

  • Regularly conduct analysis of brand performance using multiple data sources and tools on a weekly basis to ensure that performance is continuously optimised across all touch points.

  • Understand how to manage projects and relationship with both internal and external stakeholders

Rotation 3: Advertising

Understanding tools and mechanisms to run advertising on digital marketplaces

  • Learn how to run campaigns in Amazon Ads and other channels e.g. Google Ads, paid social with Tiktok, Instagram, etc.

  • Develop skills to analyse and optimise ads performance to drive ROI and sales

  • Work closely with the SEO / content and brand management teams to drive brands’ holistic strategies and long-term organic sales

  • Learn how to manage monthly budgets across client accounts and become confident in providing insight to clients

Once you have passed the application stage you can expect the following stages to look like this:

  • An initial phone interview with Pattern’s talent acquisition team

  • Assessment day at Pattern Europe HQ - Soho

    • This will include 1-on-1 interviews, team exercises and activities that will test your analytical capabilities, data processing and calculating, and examine how you interact with all aspects of these

  • A final meet and greet interview with the European General Manager

Qualifications

  • What do you need to thrive in our Graduate Scheme?

    • 2:1 degree or above from a good university
    • Experience in a working background/extracurricular experience - tell us about your DofE or volunteering experience for instance. Anything that sets you apart we want to know about
    • An interest in e-commerce or a keen desire to learn as a minimum
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel - especially Pivot tables
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Confidence in presenting and the ability to manage clients/partners or internal stakeholders
    • Ability to self-learn and and a proactive desire to improve
    Available to start in September 2022
  • If successful, you must have permission to work in the UK by the start of your employment
  • You must be able to speak English fluently
  • You must be currently living within a commutable distance of this vacancy
