Our five year Degree Apprenticeship programme enables you to achieve a recognised Degree in a construction/surveying based discipline with a starting salary of £19,000 p.a. progressing to £26,000 p.a. upon completion.

Our Project Manager programme is a great way to get involved in the new build construction sector and mix hands on experience with working towards a highly regarded degree, all whilst getting paid.

Upon completion of the program, you will have the opportunity to move on into a full Project Manager position within Together Housing.

Who are we?

Together Housing is a social landlord, providing homes and communities to over 80,000 customers and employing approx. 1,500 colleagues in various disciplines.

Our main business is providing rented or affordable homes to our customers and enabling them to have security of tenure and access to additional social support.

What will your role be?

Your role will be based in our new build team, working on potential or established land sites for new build properties and then liaising with local authorities, construction partners and agents to develop and build new properties for our current or future customers, whilst taking into account the housing needs and sales features required to ensure the development of sustainable housing units.

Role Responsibilities:

This is a broad-based, 5 year programme offering a wide range of activities to build well rounded individuals with well-developed interpersonal and team-working skills. The programme consists of -

  • Enrolment in BSc Degree in Surveying or Construction

  • A series of work placements within our new build development team to gain skills and experience working on front line projects, working towards our objective of building 500 new properties every year

  • Support from technical and coaching mentors from both Together Housing Group and the University

Location

You will be based at one of our offices in Blackburn, Halifax or Wakefield for the duration of your apprenticeship, with regular time out to attend university sessions.

You will be able to work from home or the office, providing dedicated support on a range of new build residential projects, including mixed tenure, residential-led mixed use schemes whilst also contributing to the successful operation of the regional Development team.

More about the opportunity

You will develop skills to help you understand and take responsibility for maintaining relationships with stakeholders including Local Authorities, construction development partners and our neighbourhood management/sales team colleagues.

Spending time working on our many new build housing projects will provide you with the opportunity to build a strong network, learn and apply your skills in different environments and become a well-rounded housing developer with experience across the full housing build lifecycle whilst supporting the business in our objective to build 500 new properties every year.

This exceptional Degree Apprentice Programme is a fantastic opportunity to challenge yourself in an encouraging, supportive environment, whilst gaining hands-on experience of some complex issues such as understanding housing supply and demand issues, construction of new build properties and understanding local authority planning issues, all whilst building communities where people want to live and thrive.

What do we offer?

  • A fully paid degree apprenticeship programme (no need to access a student loan!)

  • 27 days paid holiday time (rising to 32 over 5 years’ service) plus bank holidays off
