The role: We are a busy commercial team responsible for driving advertising revenue into the FT’s incredibly successful Weekend portfolio across print & digital. This role will provide support to the UK B2C Luxury & Consumer Sales Team in order to maintain and grow advertising revenues. This is an incredible opportunity to support the sales teams in their efforts and to become an integral part of the team, overseeing a range of tasks which include: To provide sales support to the B2C Luxury & Consumer sales team, including liaising with global sales teams and internal FT depts and teams where required Supporting the sales team with building presentations, spreadsheets and other useful documents using information provided by them to you Assist with inputting data into our CRM system, booking orders, including updating contact info, logging activities and creating regular, accurate sector report Assisting in flat planning & closing HTSI and FT Weekend Magazines, when needed Assist the team with competitor analysis, media packs and capturing screen-shots for digital leads across competitor websites for all our luxury sectors, for eg: watches & jewellery, arts, fashion, travel, interiors and food & drinks to name a few of our categories) Support the team with marketing collateral and research Keeping all sales reps up to date with positional availability, flat planning and closing of the title as required. Will also be required to assist with the planning and publishing of all FT Weekend titles. Answering general queries from clients/sales representatives Helping to facilitate Voucher Copies & PDF’s for our clients and agencies Proactively sourcing new leads from competitors to help the sales team generate new revenue opportunities Required Skills / Experience Self motivated, is knowledge hungry with a strong desire to want to learn about the luxury industry, the FT business and the greater media landscape. Strong ability to use their initiative and to proactively take ownership of their workload and work autonomously. Outgoing, dynamic and proactive in personality with strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload effectively with outstanding organisational skills. Will have good Microsoft office skills (including Excel and PowerPoint) and ideally be familiar with Mac applications. Will have experience of working with and interpreting raw sales and research data and an aptitude for sales across print and digital. Produce works of quality, thoroughness and accuracy under pressure while working to tight deadlines Strong team player with a very positive and flexible ‘can do’ attitude to their work and colleagues.
