Job Description

Cordius are working with a well-established, and reputable law firm who are seeking 2 Apprentice Accounts Assistants to join their Accounts team in Salisbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career within accounts/finance. Opportunity to gain a permanent role once successfully completing apprenticeship. Hours of Work - 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday The Team The Finance team comprises the IT Director, 3 Accounts Assistants, 1 Accounts Clerk and 2 Legal Cashiers. Responsibilities • Assist with the processing of client invoices on our practice management system (Peppermint); • Assist with the central dispatch of all client invoices processed in a timely fashion; • Assist with the weekly reconciliations of Client own accounts operated by our Court of Protection team; • Daily banking of office and client cheques; • Provide cover for the daily desk when necessary including notifying Fee Earners of client monies received; • Assist with processing of work in progress write offs on Peppermint; • Circulating EA matter listings and various other reports to Fee Earners as and when required; • Assist with filing of financial records; • Deal with Fee Earner phone and email queries courteously, professionally and in a timely manner; • Assist with a range of office, administrative and ad-hoc finance related tasks as required. Academic • GCSE English and Maths grade C or above • Studying AAT level 2 or above Skills • Good IT skills; ability to use Microsoft packages including word, excel and outlook • High level of attention to detail • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Good communication skills, in person, by telephone and in email • Good time management and organisational skills • A friendly professional manner and appearance • Driven and self-motivated Benefits 25 days holiday Life assurance Private medical insurance Pension Optional benefits
