Job Description

Dive into the world of tax and solve complex problems as you progress your career in our future-first function.

At EY, no question is too small, too ambitious or too imaginative. We use our curiosity to ask better questions, that inspire better answers.

Bring your love of problem-solving and your proactive attitude to our Tax teams, where you’ll build your own hands-on experience working with real clients from day one – all whilst working towards a professional qualification or business skills training. You’ll be on your way to helping local and international businesses find better ways of doing tax. Here, your career is truly yours to build. Experience our world. Your way.

We help local and global entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals and organisations manage every element of their business’s tax. And as a function, Tax has changed more than ever in the past five years. Not only is Tax broader in its operations, but it’s also more digital. From bots that do our number crunching to artificial intelligence that inspires our innovations, Tax is no longer bound to Excel, it’s boundless. Tax is one of our most central business areas and we work across our entire organisation to shape strategies of the future.

What programmes can you join?

Global Compliance and Reporting

Working within the Europe, Middle East, India, and Africa (EMEIA) Tax Center to help international organisations improve the way they pay tax.

Tax

Help local and global organisations, from start-ups to influential multinationals, manage every element of their business’s tax affairs and tax risk policies.

Tax Associate

Working in EY Frank Hirth, assist our clients in the UK and US with their personal and corporate tax returns, calculate liabilities and advise on tax payments.

Tax Technology and Transformation

Help our Financial Services clients adapt to the rapidly evolving tax landscape both accurately and cost effectively.

People Advisory Services - Mobility and Reward

Learn how businesses reward and relocate employees around the world – and how it affects their tax.

Technology in Tax

You’ll work closely with colleagues across borders, using EY tools and networks to solve complex business problems. By combining the power of EY’s tax experience with innovative technology, you can help us transform tax of the future.

What will you be doing?

You’ll build a career that’s yours to own. With infinite opportunities to lead, learn and transform, we’ll empower you to build a world as unique as you. You’ll be:

  • Working across various specialist tax teams within UK & Ireland or Financial Services
  • Working with start-up companies, large corporations and high-profile individuals
  • Building professional relationships with your clients
  • Building your strengths alongside supportive colleagues who will push you to be your best

Are you eligible to apply?

We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will, however, need to be working towards an honour’s degree in any subject – some programmes will require a subject relevant to the business area, have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent).
