We work with a wide range of clients, including the industry’s most successful pharmaceutical and medical technology companies, patient and public health bodies and charitable organisations. You will be presented with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a variety of projects, from medical communications, medical affairs, health economics and evidence synthesis, all of which involve the assimilation, interpretation and creative presentation of data from clinical trials. Specific tasks could include supporting the preparation of medical education slides, performing systematic searches of medical literature, development of clinical trial manuscripts, or assimilating clinical and cost-effectiveness evidence to support HTA submissions to NICE.You will typically be working on two to three projects in different disease areas at any one time. Interns receive one-to-one training on the technical aspects of the role and learn about project management and effective communication with clients.Scientific Interns are based in each of our scientific divisions. These are broadly described as Medical Communications, Value and Access and Evidence Development, and also include the specialist areas of Rare Diseases, MedTech and Health Policy. We welcome applications from candidates with a diverse range of specialisms, including but not limited to; biology, chemistry, pharmacy and medicineThe ability to communicate scientific material clearly in both written and oral form.
