Through your qualification as an apprentice, you can earn while you learn.B-Skill are proud to be working in partnership with Changing Lives.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customer Service Apprentice to join their friendly team.The successful candidate will be working towards either a Level 2 or Level 3 Customer Service Apprenticeship depending on experience. Changing Lives is a national charity that supports over 17,000 people each year. They are a well-respected, growing organisation dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable people across the UK. They began as a soup run, supporting people who were homeless in the North East 50 years ago, and are proud to still have their main base and central office in the North East. Since 1970, their services have grown and developed to support people experiencing a wide range of personal challenges, including addiction and recovery programmes, employment guidance, help for people in prison or on probation, and support for people experiencing sexual exploitation or domestic abuse. They are looking for committed and compassionate professionals who share their enthusiasm for changing lives. Purpose of the role:Reporting to the Resourcing and Talent Partner, your overall objective will be to effectively deliver an exceptional candidate journey by providing an excellent, seamless and swift onboarding process.The ability to work at pace whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is an advantage. However training and development will be supported to the right candidate for the role.This includes an opportunity to undertake additional qualifications via the apprentice route. The post holder is bound at all times to observe the strict rules of confidentiality applicable to work within the People Team Function.Duties - Below is an illustration of your key responsibilities, however, the nature of the work the People Team are involved with, means from time to time the specific duties may vary:Managing a high volume, end to end onboarding process Speaking to candidates to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.Posting adverts in line with brand guidelines on various recruitment portals and other appropriate recruitment channels.Managing the onboarding process; including timely production of new starter offer packs and carrying out pre-employment checks; Right to Work, DBS Identification and employment references.Liaising with Hiring Managers and the wider Recruitment Team.Ensuring the prompt input of new starter details on the Cintra HR system, setting up electronic employee files, and liaising with Payroll and the Learning & Development team to ensure seamless transfer of information. To support and host the Induction process by arranging delegate attendance and key speakers To load new starters onto the e-learning platform and remove leavers as and when required Monitor progress of those assigned training. Run reports to notify us of expiry dates of right to work documentation and DBS.Management of email inboxes including a centralised recruitment inbox.Processing electronic DBS applications accurately and in a timely manner for new and existing members of staff, escalating outcome as required.Responding to external reference requests in a timely manner.Distributing weekly vacancy report throughout the wider business.Providing administrative support at meetings; taking and typing up of minutes accurately, including those of a confidential nature.To work collaboratively across the Recruitment team and wider People team.Support the workload across the wider People team to deliver timely excellent customer service to relevant stakeholders.Be proactive in your approach, prioritising your workload and workload of the Recruitment team, liaising with the Resourcing and Talent Advisors and Manager.Be curious and proactive regarding your learning and development, sharing your learning and knowledge with the wider team.Develop your own organised and flexible approach to managing your workload. Any ad-hoc HR & Recruitment projects.Salary is in line with the national minimum wage for apprentices.37 hours per week
