Job Description

£11.75 - £22 p/hr, depending on role and experience  

Would you like to work amongst the beautiful grounds of the Goodwood Estate, at some of the most iconic motorsport and horse racing events in the UK? You could be involved in the execution of renowned events such as the Festival of Speed, Qatar Goodwood Festival, Revival Festival and many more as a key member of our logistics and cellar team.  

Are you an organised leader with great attention to detail and a passion for a good customer and staff experience? As a restaurant, hospitality, bar or kitchen manager, you will be tasked with ensuring your area runs smoothly in order to deliver not only an exceptional experience to your customers, but also the best working environment for your team.  

Managerial Roles:  

You must be able to interact effectively across both client and operational functions whilst managing your team in order for them to excel in their role. You will be expected to ensure your operational area is fully stocked with the necessary equipment in a timely manner prior to service, taking into account expected guest numbers, service times and any targets given to you. You will be expected to lead briefings for each shift, preparing your team for the day ahead and inspiring them to be pro-active and enthusiastic in their role.  

Supervisor and Team Leader Roles:   

As a restaurant or bar team leader, you will be supporting your line manager in the effective running of your area to ensure clients and guests are satisfied whilst creating an enjoyable working environment for the rest of the team. You must be able to interact effectively with your team to create a first-class experience, at the same time as promoting a positive, enthusiastic attitude.   

Your role may also include responsibilities such as giving small team briefings and organising team rotas to ensure steps of service are understood and delivered efficiently. Additionally, you will need to be able to make knowledgeable recommendations whilst proactively assisting guests with any queries or issues they may have.   

Requirements:  

  • Strong leadership skills  

  • Compassionate and approachable personality   

  • The ability to delegate and solve problems efficiently as they arise  

  • Able to lead by example, in attitude, work ethic and uniform requirements   

For our more senior roles, prior experience within a lead customer service position is essential.
