Job Description

FDS has a number of exciting Apprentice opportunities within a number of our major accounts.As part of FDS apprentice programme you will be enrolled on a Microsoft Data Essentials Level 3 Apprentice programme which includes a Microsoft Excel certification.The FDS apprentice programme runs for a twenty-four-month period with a genuine opportunity to secure a permanent role within FDS or DXC upon its successful conclusion.Successful candidates will be someone who can blend first rate customer service skills with hands on administrative support.The candidate must be willing to undergo security clearance prior to being accepted for the role.Hours of work Monday to Friday between 08:00-18:00 37.5 hrs per week (45 minutes for lunch)This is an excellent opportunity to join us and as an employee you will gain access to a large library of training courses and accreditations to help further your skills and development.Responsibilities and Essential Skills:Weekly, Monthly and ad hoc reporting and presentations on a variety of different business functions.Creation and maintenance of process flows and documentation control.Raise purchase orders and track spend as required.Finance reconciliation for accounts.Order and track miscellaneous items (mobile phones, H&S equipment, IT supplies etc)Provide costings for customer activities.Manage training requirements.Provide thorough and accurate administrative support to Ops manager and Team LeadsManage and administer internal applications/systems.Make travel arrangements as required.Liaising with the FDS account management team and the DXC account team.Asset management and associated activities.Ad hoc requests and Project support activities.Essential skills:Strong organisational and administrative skills.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Microsoft Office O365 (particularly Excel, Visio and PowerPoint) and data management software skills.Working knowledge of Power BI would be advantageous.Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent time management and organisational skills.Ability to multitask and work under pressure.Experience of working in cross functional environmentAble to work independently and as part of a team.Practical and flexible.Willing to contribute to team discussion and take ideas forward.Able to drive processes and ideas through to positive conclusions.Benefits of completing the course:Clear and Defined Career PathMentoring and support from experienced people within the businessOpportunity to secure a permanent company position after successful completion of the two-year programAccess to a large library of courses and accreditations to help further your skills and developmentBroad range of benefits available from Pension Scheme, Life insurance, health insuranceApply now for consideration!By completing the application process you agree that ES Field Delivery UK LTD (FDS) may contact you in line with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in connection with your application via the contact details you provided in relation to the vacancy you have applied for.
