Job Description

Job Title: Digital Marketing Apprentice Location: Albourne, West Sussex (Hybrid work pattern currently but this will be changing to an office based role in the near future). Salary: £15k per annum depending on experience Full time: Monday-Friday, 38 hours per week 18 month contract Our client based in Albourne in West Sussex designs and manufactures market-leading network products and solutions which it sells to major broadband cable operators worldwide. The marketing apprentice will have an interest in developing a career in marketing with an emphasis on marcomms/digital marketing. ResponsibilitiesYou will assist in developing, implementing and executing digital marketing campaigns in support of the group marketing plans. You will need to be a good communicator who can work with our internal stakeholders including sales, HR, product management, CTO and IT to draw out the information needed for both internal and external digital communications. The marketing apprentice will be developed in the role to take on the following tasks: Developing and managing marketing data in Hubspot in-line with GDPRDatabase maintenance entry and cleaning - product and customer data (see above)Ordering business cards and promotional itemsPrepare the weekly internal staff newsletter, including sourcing photography/banner imagesAdminister the social media accounts, principally LinkedIn and Twitter, in accordance with the marketing calendar.Maintain and update the marketing calendar in Planner, ensuring that deadlines are met by the marketing team membersKeep up-to-date with developments in LinkedIn and Twitter, making recommendations where appropriateManage content as appropriate on website, ensuring that it is up-to-date and optimised for search engines. Arranging translations as required.Using analytical tools to monitor marketing campaigns and website engagementAssist with product and staff photography&maintain asset listsEdit PDF documentsSupport the marketing team with adhoc administration tasks Desired Skills Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people at all levels of the organisation.Support the Product Management team to ensure that all marketing collateral meets local market requirements, supports marketing campaigns across all channels and complies with divisional marketing collateralAbility to work with people for whom English is a second languageFlexibility - a willingness to get involved in all areas of Marketing as requiredFamiliarity with Adobe Creative suite an advantageAble to work accurately and to deadlinesOwn transport is needed due to the rural location of the office Desired Personal Skills Determination - you will often be writing about technical products that are likely to be outside your previous experience. It is important that you persevere in obtaining the information you need to do your job even if this proves difficultAn interest in photography and design is desirable Desired Qualifications 5 GCSEs (ideally grades 5-9 or equivalent) including maths and English. Prospects There is potential to progress into a permanent role after successful completion of the apprenticeship. Things to consider Own transport required due to the rural location of the officeWhilst the client is working to a hybrid pattern currently for all staff, this could change, so you would need to be prepared to come into the office 5 days. They would hope for a 3 day in the office/2 day home split ideally, although again flexibility is needed in this role due to the workload (events etc).
