EXTRAORDINARY UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMME The Bentley Undergraduate Programme will drive your personal and professional development to new heights. Working closely with technical experts, a community of peers and other trainees, you will spend your year focusing on projects and tasks aligned to your home department’s objectives. Additionally, you will spend time developing your behaviours and project management skills through collaborative work with our community of trainees. Undergraduates at Bentley work with apprentices, graduates and interns to deliver community and sustainability projects. EXTRAORDINARY TEAM The Material Development team sits within the Body and Trim department. The main responsibilities of the Material team is to identify and develop new materials and processes that offer luxurious differentiating solutions whilst ensuring the technologies meet cost, quality, sustainability and compliance requirements. The Undergraduate will be responsible for two or three material development projects from beginning to end, which could include any combination of activities from supplier scouting, assessment of technologies and validation for integration into a vehicle. Materials involved could be a selection of materials considered for a Bentley interior; leather, wood, aluminium, composites, paint or textiles. To apply for this Undergraduate Programme you must be on course to achieve a minimum of a 2:1 degree in a relevant subject area, alongside a pass in Maths and English at GCSE Level. A degree in Materials Science, Materials Design or Mechanical Engineering is preferable.
