We are committed to attracting and investing in talented people who will ensure we continue to deliver on our customer promises.As a Systems & Technology Graduate you may be working in:Digitalisation & Data - This is a relatively new department within the organisation responsible for the implementation and delivery of our Digitalisation Strategy and Action Plan, focused on improved data management, increased network insight and operation and ensuring data is presumed open. Improving our data and delivering our digitalisation commitments are key to further improving business efficiency, driving enhanced performance, turning data into information that benefits customers, providing open data to market participants, producing better insight into asset capability for customers planning to connect new loads, storage, or generation, or developing new connection and service propositionsNetwork Strategy - The Network Strategy team is responsible for identifying the long term strategic development of the electricity distribution network. This team would be a great fit if you are self-motivated and have a clear knowledge of the principles and issues associated with EHV network design. The ability to present information in a clear and reasoned way, together with an open yet analytical approach to problem solving, and good computer skills would also be an advantageous for this team.Control Systems - The team are key players in shaping the strategy for becoming a Distribution System Operator. They are responsible for management, functionality and development of all real time computer systems used to manage the electricity networks. Effective liaison with internal customers and external contractors, at a variety of management levels, is a key part of delivering these services so the ability to communicate clearly and build relationships is also very important.IT - Our IT team are vital to our business in many ways. Not only do they assist their colleagues across the business by supporting and enabling everything from desktop computers and networking to managing infrastructure, they also take care of cyber security and develop applications too. How they do that is just as important: our IT teams provide services that are bespoke, cost-effective, secure and reliable. They also look ahead to see how IT can help the business to implement strategy and be an enabler for both efficiency and success.We have offices across our 4 licence areas including Bristol, Castle Donington, Cardiff, Tipton and many more.If you are offered a position, you will be required to complete and provide a satisfactory basic DBS check that shows any unspent convictions or conditional cautions. In addition, due to the sensitive nature of some of our roles, you may be required to undergo National Security Vetting (Security Check).
