Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to: Assist in all areas of the finance department including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, accounting, and student administration Debtor management including debt collection, report analysis and statements Organising creditor invoicing, payments, and allocations to GL accounts Set up new starters in our payroll system, payroll processing and weekly/monthly reporting Support with all accounting needs such has journals, GL Tables and cash flow forecasting Assist with student claims and reimbursements Carry out other duties that are within the limits of trainee skills, competence and ability as required by HVTC What you'll bring to the table… To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following selection criteria: Demonstrated interest in Accounting and Finance Strong computer literacy and previous use of Microsoft Office Suite Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to engage with others and work as part of a team Commitment to both on and off the job training Ability to maintain confidentiality Strong mathematical skills and ability Flexible attitude to work and strong organisational skills What to do next SEEK
