Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to: Assist qualified tradespeople with general metal fabrication duties; Perform tasks such as welding, cutting and grinding; Mark out jobs, set up machines, prepare materials, tools and fixtures for fabricating; Perform manual heating and thermal cutting; Apply fabrication, forming and shaping techniques; Assemble fabricated components; Use both hand and power tools to carry out fabrication duties; Assist with stocking utes as required; Work both onsite and in the workshop. What you’ll bring to the table… To be successful in this role, you’ll need to meet the following selection criteria: Ability to work as part of a team Commitment to both on and off the job training A can-do attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work safely and follow instructions Demonstrated interest and passion for the Engineering Fabrication trade Strong mathematical aptitude Strong communication skills Current Manual Drivers Licence (P1 or above) Current Police Check, or willingness to obtain Willingness to undergo a medical and drug & alcohol screen What to do next
