Our Engineering Degree Apprenticeship offers a full degree with no fees, plus vocational training with a regular salary. Airbus is leading the way with this unique 40 month Programme through which you will achieve a BEng (Hons) Aeronautical and Manufacturing Engineering and Performing Engineering Operations Level, and work towards a professional IEng level award.This specialist Programme is designed to develop high level aeronautical engineering skills by combining academic and vocational studies in aeronautical engineering.You will be studying towards your degree at Coleg Cambria, which is accredited by our university partner Swansea University, and will have a unique opportunity to couple this learning with practical, industry-based work that will take place at our world leading aircraft manufacturing site in Broughton, (near Chester) North Wales.What you will be doing:At our Broughton Wing Manufacturing Centre of Excellence, you'll undertake a range of on-site placements and have the opportunity to cover a number of disciplines that will allow you to gain broad exposure of our world class Airbus commercial Aircraft Programmes and work alongside our world-leading experts in aerospace.The types of placements you could have will encompass the following disciplines;Wing ManufacturingWing DesignWing QualityEngineeringAt Wing Quality Engineering, you'll be supporting Quality product improvements; working on adaptations to Wing design and cost improvement projects.The Lineside Production Enablement team are responsible for the insertion of new technology sets (e.g., robotics, 3D printing) to enhance production capability. During your time with them, you will have the opportunity to work with the team responsible for the design of the working environment and ensuring it is as effective as possible to support our dedicated production teams build our exciting products of the future.In addition to your work placements and studies, there are a number of excellent training opportunities open to you that cover a variety of subjects, as well as encouraging you to get involved in extra-curricular education and community projects designed to broaden your experience and help you develop both your professional and personal skills along the way.Skills:In order to be eligible for this exciting apprenticeship opportunity, you must have a minimum of either;112 Combined UCAS points, made up of A-Level Grade B minimum in Maths, and Grade C minimum in Physics or Chemistry, with a further A-Level/AS-Level/BTEC Diploma.OrBTEC L3 Extended Diploma in an Engineering Subject at minimum grade D*D*D*.OrOr: Access to HE - Minimum 30 Level 3 credits, with 15 in Maths and 15 in a Science or Technology subject.OrBaccalaureate IB - Minimum H5 grade in Mathematics, and a minimum H3 grade in either Biology, Chemistry, Comp Science, Physics.AndMinimum Grade 4/C English, and Grade 5/B Maths.OrEquivalent QualificationsPlease note that you must also include a cover letter as part of your application for this Programme which demonstrates your interest in aerospace and motivation to join the Apprenticeship.Please note, we love your interest in working for Airbus but we do ask that you make only one application.
