Job Description

Company Bio Based in Blackburn, Prefix Systems is an an award-winning business, one of the largest independent off-site constructed roof fabricators, offering a wide range of conservatory, home living and glazing solutions to suit almost any application. Description Responsible for contributing to efficient and cost-effective stock control as part of the warehouse operation.Duties:• Accepting Goods In deliveries• Safely unloading incoming materials• Safely loading outgoing materials• Checking delivery paperwork• Checking physical quantities received• Immediately highlighting any discrepancies to management and resolving using own initiative where possible• Record non-conformances on the internal system• Active contribution to performance improvement initiatives• Responsible for the movement of stock within the warehouse function• Preparation of materials for the use of the Production Team• Maintain good housekeeping with the warehouse and outside areas• Picking and issuing raw materials to both production and goods out• Assisting in regular stock cycle checks• Prepare and pack finished goods to a high standard ready for transport • Organise collection of stock by 3rd parties as necessary• Process requisitions for stock • Oversee material disposal processes• Any other duties as and when required or subject to business requirements. Requirements Candidates much demonstrate a commitment to learning and provide reliable attendance, as well as being able to work in a team and take direction. Apprentices under the age of 18 will have their hours adjusted accordingly in line with Young Worker Regulations. The company operates 2 shifts - the later shift is: Monday to Thursday - 10 am to 7 pmFriday - 10 am to 6 pm Please note Apprentices will only be working on the earlier shift whilst under the apprenticeship programme.
