About the Role At Animal Trust Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) are a vital part of the veterinary team, and we are committed to supporting the new generation of Veterinary Nurses. As an apprentice, you will be paid to work in one of our clinics 4 days per week, and will spend 1 day per week at college. Our apprentices will be supported by a clinical coach and will learn: how to handle animals calmly and safelyclinical skillslooking after injured or sick animalspreparing and maintaining veterinary practiceshow to be tactful and sympathetic with pet owners As part of this apprenticeship you will receive a Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing and be eligible to apply for professional registration with the RCVS as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. Core Skills Applicants must have achieved at least 5 level 2 qualifications (equivalent to GCSE grades 9 to 4 or A* to C), including English, maths and a science subject.Passionate about animals - previous experience working with animals is essential Committed and hard-working Job Particulars Duration: 36 months37.5 hours per week4 days in clinic and 1 day in college Contribute to the night rota - must be able to travel to and from the surgery at unsociable timesWorking hours: 8am-4pm, with 30mins unpaid breakFor further details about the course, visit https://www.southstaffs.ac.uk/courses/veterinary-nursing-apprenticeship-level-3/.
