Job Description

What you'll doSupporting the Mental Capacity team in offering support to the firms' clients on all matters relating to the financial functions associated with all Court of Protection (COP) files.Processing payments in line with agreed terms and conditions and dealing with any queries.Weekly bank reconciliations to ensure payments are allocated correctly and to report on cash-flow.Opening accounts as appropriate in individuals names.Dealing with tax returns.All ad hoc administration duties such as filing, scanning and photocopying. What we're looking for Good communication skills.Good organisational skills.A highly flexible approach with the ability to work well and flourish within a team environment.Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.Ability to achieve tasks quickly and accurately meeting the needs of the team. Good IT skills across the MS suite of programmes along with a willingness to learn new computer packages.The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and to be proactive where opportunities are identified.Confidence to engage with various stakeholders across the business and not just within the Mental Capacity team.An interest in accounts and administration.A willingness to learn about law firm culture, management structures, policies and procedures. Desired qualifications A minimum of 5 GCSE passes at Grade C/4 and above to include maths and English Future ProspectsWe cannot guarantee that there will be a permanent position at the end of the 18 month apprenticeship, however we hope to be able to offer our apprentices opportunities within the business to further develop their skills and progress their career.Salary:£13,500 per year.
