We have a fantastic opportunity for a Social Media Team Manager to join our growing team within ECommerce, located at our head office in Deeside, near Chester.

The purpose of the role is to assist with the development and implementation of the social media strategy in order to boost visibility and customer engagement.

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and creative Social media manager to administer the customer facing side of our social media accounts. You will be responsible for managing posts and responding to followers. You will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals.

As a Social media manager, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company's views creatively.

Ultimately, you should be able to handle our social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement. You will be working closely with our Marketing and Sales departments.

Day to day activities:

  • Manage the day-to-day handling of all customer contact across social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels
  • Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
  • Form key relationships with influencers across the social media platforms
  • Undertake audience research
  • Monitor, track, analyse and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook insights
  • Research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity
  • Analyse competitor activity
  • Recommend improvements to increase performance
  • Set targets to increase brand awareness and increase customer engagement
  • Manage, motivate and coach Social Media Team
  • Educate other staff on the use of social media and promote its use within the organisation
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as Marketing, Buying and the Contact Centre to ensure brand consistency
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
  • Contribute towards ad hoc marketing activity

Skills Required

  • Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager
  • A solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms, particularly in relation to advertising/branding and customers
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Strong communication and people skills for articulating ideas to colleagues and customers
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels
  • Leadership qualities to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent team working, collaboration and networking skills
  • Organisational skills, with the capacity to prioritise and work across multiple projects
  • Project and campaign management skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure in order to meet deadlines
  • Skills in data analysis and interpreting statistics
  • Online community management and customer service skills to strike the balance between publicity and stimulating direct discussion with potential and actual customers
  • An eye for detail and the ability to work accurately
  • Be planned and organised but always ready to adapt quickly to change
  • Motivation and commitment
  • BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field
