Job Description

Help companies build strategies, deliver on deals and drive success whilst developing skills that will build your career.

At EY, no question is too small, too ambitious or too imaginative. We use our curiosity to ask better questions, that inspire better answers. That’s how we build a better working world.

We have a range of opportunities within our Strategy and Transactions business area to choose from. Whether you go into Corporate Finance, Economic Advisory, Transaction Diligence, Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy or Valuation, you’ll get a sense of the scale of our business. As a member of this team, you’ll work across complex deals whilst driving economic and social change. You’ll use your diverse thinking to influence key projects and contribute to large-scale topics. And you’ll build a unique path you can be truly proud of. Here, your career is truly yours to build. Experience our world. Your way.

Economies are fuelled by competitive organisations who buy, sell, merge or restructure parts of their business with others. Within Strategy and Transactions, we help organisations do all that whilst making more informed decisions and building better strategies for our clients. By advising them on capital solutions, we give way to fast and authentic growth that will re-shape their operations.

What programmes can you join?

Corporate Finance

Inspire our clients to ask better questions to execute smarter transactions, and take advantage of regional coverage and sector expertise to help achieve their growth ambitions.

Economic Advisory

Help clients make better decisions around policy, regulation and commercial activities.

Transaction Diligence

Specialise in financial due diligence – assessing risks and opportunities – and reporting on these to our clients, their banks, investors and others.

Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy

Advise organisations and other affected parties when they are underperforming on the best course of action.

Valuation

Support transactions or investment decisions and enable our clients to meet their regulatory, tax, or financial reporting requirements.

Technology in Strategy and Transactions

Using technology and analytics is fundamental to what we do. We have market leading technological capabilities that help us add value to the projects we work on. Using automation and artificial intelligence enables us to streamline our work and focus on client needs.

What will you be doing?

You’ll build a career that’s yours to own. With infinite opportunities to lead, learn and transform, we’ll empower you to build a world as unique as you. You’ll be:

  • Working in a high performing project team, delivering value to our clients from your first day
  • Working on client-facing projects in varying sectors and service offerings, whilst receiving both on-the-job and formal training
  • Developing your analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working closely in project teams with graduates to Senior Managers and Partners
  • Using your networking and relationship-building skills

Are you eligible to apply?

If you’re in your penultimate year at university, or if you’re already in your final year but will be doing a one-year Master’s degree, or taking a gap year, this internship is for you.

We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will however, need to be working towards an honours degree in any subject - some programmes will require a subject relevant to the business area, have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent) to be eligible to apply.
