Job Description

Would you like to learn about how to provide quality repairs and maintenance services to our valued residents? If so, you may be interested in our opening for an Apprentice Property Maintenance Operative based on the Isle of Wight, on a full-time basis for the length of your qualification/course.

You’ll be based at our modern, vibrant office in Newport on the Isle of Wight. There is free parking onsite with access to local transport links.

Working within the Southern Maintenance Services team, you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality repairs and maintenance for our customers at Southern Housing Group.

As part of an 18-month apprenticeship, you will work within our team to gain experience and training in this field. This role will support your college studies.

You will work a 40-hour week which will include your studies.

What we need from you

  • Have a basic knowledge of health and safety
  • Be dedicated to completing a Property/Maintenance Qualification as an apprentice
  • Attend college and complete regular assignments whilst maintaining a high performance as a SHG apprentice
  • Able to represent SHG and provide great customer service
