Contract: fixed term contract (3 months)Department: EMEA HE Real-World Methods & Evidence GenerationLocation: London, United KingdomClosing date for applications – 24th of February 2021We are looking for driven candidates seeking to start their career and join us as a paid intern to undertake their dissertation project, support the team and enhance their Health Economics skills.To be considered you should be currently studying for an MSc in Heath Economics or Economic evaluation or other relevant and related Health Economics qualification. You will work in a dynamic, global company of over 60,000 employees in more than 100 countries with a broad range of healthcare information, technology and service offerings. As part of our team comprised of 90 Health Economists and Data Scientists, you will develop your knowledge and skills to effectively contribute to the generation of insights and solutions for our clients. Above all, your work will impact decision-making in various health care systems on treatment innovations, care provision and access. What you’ll do:Be assigned a dissertation project based on a technical piece of work (either an economic model or indirect comparison analysis). You will be splitting your time between the dissertation project and supporting the team on other projects thus providing you with an opportunity to gain experience in a range of Health Economics offeringsProduce materials and services relating to the Health Economics Outcomes Research business areas (health economic modelling, evidence synthesis, statistical analysis, health technology assessment submissions, report and publication development for value communication) that generate value for clientsHave the opportunity to liaise with clients directly and develop client communication & presentation skillsContribute to business development as well as internal initiatives for the advancement of innovative methodological approachesWork closely with a diverse range of peers, project managers and subject matter experts, both in the London office and offices across the EuropeWho you are:You must be studying for a degree in Health Economics or Economic evaluation, or another relevant disciplineYou have strong numeracy and quantitative skills as well as competency using MS Excel and/or statistical packages (e.g. Stata, R, SAS)You are capable of tackling loosely defined problems analytically and applying pragmatic and logical problem solving skillsYou are a communicative person that values building strong relationships with colleagues and clients and have the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms and in a structured way, both spoken and writtenYou are eligible to work in the UK without visa sponsorshipMust be available for the 3 months internship from June to end of AugustAt IQVIA, we believe in pushing the boundaries of human science and data science to make the biggest impact possible – to help our customers create a healthier world.
