Job Description If you’re looking for a new challenge, and want to work on some of the biggest brands in cycling and develop your strategy and research career within a fast growing agency, then this is for you!As the SHIFT Strategy & Research Intern, you will be responsible for providing support to the Strategy and Research team. You will assist with all business needs related to Research and Strategy for SHIFT’s clients and prospects. You will work with the Head of Strategy & Research to gather, analyse and interpret a variety of information in the form of desk research. You will set up and manage research projects in collaboration with the Research Manager, supporting respondent recruitment, scheduling and payments, and generally assisting with workflow where necessary to keep the team running smoothly and effectively. In return, you’ll gain invaluable experience in the field of agency research and strategy, as well as getting to assist on some interesting and exciting projects.The successful applicant will ideally have an interest and passion for cycling, as well as a significant interest or experience in marketing and/or strategy and research. They should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to think quickly and intuitively while working autonomously, due to remote working. The team will, of course, be on hand to support however. Required skills Key AccountabilitiesWorking closely with SHIFT’s Head of Strategy & Research the intern will be required to: Examining clients’ businesses to get to know their brands and understand their objectives.Analyse and interpret a variety of information.Research and gather data to develop well-informed briefs and thus strategic plans for clients.Assist with research project coordination & administrative tasks.Keep well informed of industry developments and competitor activities, as well as keeping up-to-date with cultural/social trends and customers’ views and attitudes. Job Requirements Prior experience in a marketing department, agency or research organisation – highly desirable.Academic experience in marketing, research or a related discipline – desirable.Excellent computer knowledge with spreadsheets (proficiency in G-Suite a bonus).Writing and proofing skills.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and administrative skills.Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames.Organised, dependable and detail oriented.Team player with a cooperative spirit.
