Job Description

BQP is the largest pig producer in the UK working with over 350 partnership farmers to supply high welfare, quality pork products to premium markets. Part of the Pilgrims group, we are a totally integrated business and are proud of our ‘farm to fork’ approach.We now have the opportunity for an Apprentice to join our Administration team based at Stradbroke, the administrative center of our farming business. Working within a small supportive team you will have the opportunity to learn new administrative and finance skills whilst studying for a formal accountancy qualification. Your typical day will vary between: Learning to use bespoke software and systems relating to livestock paymentsRaising of Accounting Journals for loading into the General LedgerCoding of Purchase Ledger Invoices and raising of Sales Ledger InvoicesCreation of Purchase OrdersLiaising with Farmers answering payment queriesStudying towards your professional qualification – Level 3 Assistant Accountant apprenticeshipWhat we are looking forWe are looking for a collaborative team player who enjoys working with data and embracing challenges.
