JOB TITLE: within Property Services GRADE: APP1 - £9,601 in year 1 LOCATION: Leyland with travel throughout the North West ABOUT THE POST: A fantastic opportunity to ‘earn while you learn’ with one of our new Property Services apprenticeships. We are looking for an Apprentice Joiner to join our busy Property Services team, delivering a range of repairs and maintenance services to our customers:We’d especially like to hear from anyone living in one of our homes or communities. For further support contact our Progress Futures team, this is a free service for Progress Housing Group tenants that helps them access training, apprenticeships and employment support to improve their job prospects and achieve their goals. https://www.progressgroup.org.uk/futures/Alongside your day-to-day duties, you will complete the Joiner Apprenticeship. This is a nationally recognised qualification and the primary objective of the Apprentice Joiner is to learn and understand how to carry out highly skilled joinery and maintenance skills and knowledge such as recognising problem sources and how to repair them and put in preventative measures where possible. We need you to be hardworking, customer focused, willing to learn and committed to always working to the best of your ability. You will be self-motivated, passionate about the work you do and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude. In return, you will be given a fabulous opportunity to work directly with our highly skilled operatives, learning a trade, whilst studying for a national qualification and attending college one day each week. We will support you throughout your apprenticeship, ensuring you have everything you need to achieve your goals and ambitions of becoming a full qualified tradesperson. Must have 4 GCSE’S Grade 4 or above (Maths and English essential).
