The Data Science Higher Apprenticeship arises at an exciting time in the industry as we move towards manufacturing a new range of battery and hybrid powered vehicles in Europe. The change to our manufacturing facilities will be revolutionary! Higher apprentices undertaking the data Science BSC degree apprenticeship will supplement our existing colleagues with fresh skills and knowledge to support the growing wealth of data collected and analysed at Ford Did you know Ford has a new strategic partnership with Google? This provides us with Google's state-of-the-art tools that can be utilised to unlock new insights and capitalise on new opportunities.Data streams include connected assets and their various sensors supporting Ford's charge towards Industry 4.0 and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT).You will complete your apprenticeship over 4 years. A 12-month rotation plan will keep things interesting as you work in different sections of Ford Powertrain, allowing you to understand the various aspects of the business.Your formal degree training will be provided via block release with the University of Nottingham (training will be undertaken in Essex)On the job training will take place at the Ford Dunton Campus, Essex and inevitably include trips to our manufacturing sites across the UK, and perhaps even Europe!On completion of the apprenticeship standard, you will join the Powertrain team as a manufacturing engineer with a specialism in data science. What will you gain?
