Job Description

Sports Centre Apprentice Fixed-term for 12-15 months, linked with trainingHourly rate- National Minimum Wage depending upon age rangeAre you ready to make the move from education to employment? The prospects are good at Suffolk New College.Our apprenticeship programme will provide you with an opportunity to work within the Collegeâs Sports Centre, enabling you to develop core skills and enhance your experience. Upon completion of your role as a Sports Centre Apprentice, you will have been trained in the skills employers want, helping to enhance the choices available to you in your future career.A requirement of this role is for you to work evening and weekend shifts, up until 10pm on a shift pattern as determined by the Sports Centre Manager. The role may require you to work unsupervised at times and therefore we are looking for someone with a good initiative and can do attitude to the running of the centre.To apply you should have a Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths or a Grade 3/D/ Level 1 with a commitment to achieving a Level 2 as part of your apprenticeship. An essential contractual requirement of this fixed-term role is to effectively follow an Individual Learning Plan with the aim to complete a Level 2 apprenticeship standard in Customer Service.
