Job Description

OC Services are an SSAIB accredited Security Company based in Woking, Surrey. We are looking for a Junior Security Engineer to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will receive ongoing training & guidance to become a fully qualified Fire & Security Engineer.Whether you are a school leaver or changing career path, the advancement of technology within the security sector makes this is an exciting industry to be in.About the roleYou will be working with a qualified engineer or small team, visiting our customers at both commercial and residential properties undertaking a range of roles to assist and support the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems to a high standard. This includes but is not limited to Intruder Alarms, CCTV Systems, and Access Control.Working hours are 8 hours per day (40-hour week), Monday to Friday.Starting salary range £9,000 - £14,000 + OvertimeCompany mobile phone and uniform provided.You will receive on the job training and toolbox talks to support your apprenticeship such as:Products & ManufacturersInstalling to relevant industry standards and codes of practiceCommissioning systemsCompleting commissioning documentation and marking up as fitted drawings.Completing demonstrations and handover to end user.External training will also be provided as identified. Opportunities for Career Progression Responsibilities Promote the Company image by personal bearing, attitude, and behaviour at all timesProvide cover and assistance to other team members when required or directed and adopt internal customer care standardsPresent your ID upon arrival at customer premises and adopt excellent customer relations in accordance with the Company’s standards of customer care.Assisting with site surveys and job planningImplementation of installation work of all types to current standardsGiving assistance to other installation teams when requiredCarrying out service, maintenance and fault-finding on Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control Systems.Taking part in a call out rota (after completion of a successful probation period).Ability to adopt an understanding of and support new and emerging technologies which may become part of the industry during the apprenticeship periodTo obtain a thorough working knowledge of all current installation standards employed by the companyObtain a hands-on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, service and maintenance of intruder alarms, access control and CCTVResponsible for own Health and Safety and how actions may affect the Health and Safety of others on site Location & commitmentsEach day you will be working at different customer locations across the country, meaning that travel will be part of every working day. This will involve early starts and the occasional late finish.
