You'll gain qualifications, a dedicated apprenticeship support programme, a competitive salary, and benefits, such as free travel passes, thrown in for good measure! You'll attend our partner provider for classroom-based learning with any travel and accommodation, when necessary, arranged and provided for you.In year 1 your salary will be £5.35 per hour. The rates may differ depending on how old you areWhat will you be doing?You'll need to be ready to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in as you move through classroom theory to ‘hands on' nuts ‘n' bolts. In this Apprenticeship, you'll cover everything from routine maintenance and fault diagnosis through to keeping our bodywork and interiors looking spick and span. Together, we'll help you build a thorough understanding of both existing and emerging mechanical and electrical design and systems. Including: Vehicle safety inspectionsMechanical and electrical servicingPlanned preventative maintenance and “health checks”Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, engine, fuel, coolant and transmission systems.Sustainable alternative fuel technologies (Hydrogen, Fully Electric & Hybrid Vehicles) What you need! Three GCSE's at a Grade 4 or above in Maths, English and a Science, or the equivalent, i.e. Grade C. What we offer you! All the gear… and the right idea!What are the requirements?As part of your apprenticeship you'll attend several skills workshops and will be required to attend training at a college/partner provider. This will mean you may be away from home (dependent on your location) every few months for a period of one week (in year 1, 2 and 3). You'll be provided with plenty of notice and all travel and accommodation is arranged for you.Obtaining a driving licence by the end of the 3 year programme is desirableSelection Process If you're application is successful, as part of the assessment process we'll invite you to complete a skills-based assessment, short Maths and English test and a face to face interview.
