Job Description

Main Purpose of the Role

It has predominantly come about due to the pandemic and the extensive work that we have undertaken in encouraging older people to access services using online platforms. These services have included: online exercise groups, meetings with volunteer befrienders and our virtual parties. We have recently surveyed our service users to identify how many would like to increase their digital capability and what their current capability is. From this survey around 50% of respondents have expressed an interest in this offer. The purpose of this role will be to take the lead on responding to this demand and taking this piece of work forward for the charity. We have been developing an implementation plan and this role will oversee the rollout of this. You will also be responsible for supporting the recruitment of a pool of digital support volunteers. This role will also act as the main liaison point with ClearCommunityWeb who we have commissioned to provide focused tech support to our staff, volunteers and service users across the service areas we have identified in our implementation plan.
