Graduate Programmer TT Games Studios Limited - Brighton, United Kingdom TT Odyssey are on the lookout for a Graduate Programmer to join their small, talented team in the coastal city of Brighton in the UK. Reporting to the Lead Programmer, you will collaborate with artists and designers, contributing to their vision and help bringing it to fruition. You will take on work appropriate to your current skill and experience level, and have the opportunity to lead development of game features. As a generalist, you will get to work on all aspects of the game in a small team. If you're friendly and eager to learn, you will thrive in their informal yet passionate work environment. The skills and experience you'll bring to the role... A degree in a relevant degree such as Computer Science or Maths (or equivalent experience) A self-starter mentality with the ability to understand a goal, research and plan the steps to achieve it Excellent ability in one programming language, preferably C#, C++ or Java Willingness to pick up new languages and technologies A passion to ship great games to people Flexible with new ideas and, most importantly, open to direction and iteration A desire to communicate and work with coders, artists, testers, game and audio designers in a dynamic team environment An openness to help others and ask for help where needed A love of games! Bonus points if you have any of the following… Experience in Unity 3D or another game engine A knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g. C, Java, GLSL/HLSL, Javascript) Familiarity of iOS, Android or other mobile development Credits on a shipped game or application Contributed successfully to an open-source project Expertise in low level optimisation, shader programming, physics or mathematics Comprehension and experience of cloud server, network backend, and database systems Familiarity with networked game technology and techniques TT Odyssey are the mobile-focused arm of Traveller’s Tales, the makers of best-selling LEGO titles including “LEGO Star Wars” and “LEGO Marvel Super Heroes”.
