Job Title: Business Administrator Apprenticeship - Law firm Location: Hove Salary: £12k-£14k per annum depending on experience Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am- 5.00pm Our client based in Hove, is looking to recruit an office Administrator to ensure smooth running of the Branch and provide administrative support. Responsibilities. Sorting incoming and outgoing post and DX and putting into appropriate traysProviding reception cover when neededEntering deeds, wills and powers of attorney onto data base and securely storing them in the strong roomCarrying out 6-monthly audits on deeds wills and powers of attorney removed from strong roomFile filleting and closing in readiness for electronic archivingCheck PFW for undertakings/outstanding appointments and calculate interest payable where applicable before closing files and signing off file closure formsPreparing closed files for archiving and retrieving from archive centre if requiredCarrying out banking procedures including paying in cheques received in that dayMaintaining petty cash and preparing expense sheets to be balanced at end of monthDealing with engineers and workmen when called in to work in premisesMaintaining fire alarm records and responsible for system working efficientlyMaintaining two weekly health & safety, and fire safety checksOrdering stationery on a weekly basisOrdering kitchen and food supplies for the branchProvide refreshments for clients if necessaryEnsure all client facing areas are kept to a high standardAssisting the IT Department when possibleTo assist with any other ad hoc office support tasks as they arrive Personal Specification. Personable and friendly mannerAbility to use own initiativeGood organisation skillsPositive, confident and flexible approach to tasksProfessional and clear telephone mannerAble to work well as part of a team Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience.
