Job Introduction

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a recent Graduate to join our dynamic and rapidly expanding Consultancy Practice within Computacenter. The ideal candidate is likely to have recently graduated in a subject that is directly relevant to the IT Industry and software development specifically. The candidate will have some relevant work experience that may have come from an industrial placement.

Although specific experience is not expected, the candidate will be aligned to the growing Security Team with a range of security capabilities that are well established within the wider Consultancy Practice. The candidate will be given structured training including vendor certifications such as CyberArk Defender, SailPoint Certified Engineer, and Tanium Certified Professional. There will be further opportunities to work towards industry and professional certifications for example CompTIA Security+, Certified in the Art of Hacking, ISO 27001 Auditor, and SABSA (or equivalent).

The candidate will also gain knowledge and experience in towers including: Identity & Access Management and Privileged Access Management; Threat & Vulnerability Management; Cloud Security; and Endpoint Security. Following graduation and progression from the role the candidate will have the opportunity to develop and widen their skills across a variety of Security digital trust solutions.

Role Responsibility

Main Responsibilities

  • Work with customers to understand and document their specific security requirements
  • Involved in designing new security solutions, or upgrading existing ones
  • Involved in testing and evaluating security products to understand the security market
  • Involved in conducting and partaking in security assessments through threat & vulnerability testing and risk analytical activities
  • Support with the implementation and testing of security solutions, such as Identity and Access Management products, firewalls, key management and encryption solutions, and endpoint security
  • Support security delivery activities such customer workshops, customer presentations, and document creation
  • Support the team in developing cost and project scheduling models
  • Be hands on and deliver security solutions, including some customisation of scripts and connectors
  • Input and make technical recommendations to design documents and deployments
  • The Ideal Candidate

    The Ideal Candidate

  • Completion of an IT related degree focused on software development
  • Completion of an Industrial Placement or job experience of 6 months minimum
  • Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable understanding of the lifecycle of software development
  • An understanding of Agile project methodologies
  • Demonstrable experience of interfacing with customers, or internal stakeholder management
  • Pro-active learner, and knowledgeable about trends in the IT security space
  • Experience with, and a fundamental understanding of, security and network technologies or concepts including: Firewalls, encryption, key management, identity and access management, privileged access, network models, threat and vulnerability, and endpoint security
  • Ability to write software code (Java, PowerShell are particularly desirable, but not essential)
