Mediation Bucks is a small but well established and highly respected community charity based in High Wycombe. We help residents to resolve their neighbourhood disputes through the provision of a high quality mediation service delivered through a network of well-trained volunteer mediators. Mediation is also offered to other clients including individuals and organisations in business, family and workplace settings.
We are proud of our success rate and have seen a 40% increase in the number of case referrals over the last year. As a charity we rely solely on external funding, principally from client organisations in the form of grants and SLAs.
We are now seeking to appoint a part-time Development Officer, to maintain our current income level, to identify and develop new income streams and to assist the board to attain strategic objectives.
This is a new post providing an exciting opportunity for a creative, proactive self-starter to help shape a much valued community service, expand its reach and help secure its future.
Relationship management is crucial to this role and candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Applicants should also be numerate, computer literate and have experience of fund-raising, grant applications/tendering and ideally working to Service Level Agreements and performance targets. Experience of working in the voluntary or local government sectors would be an advantage.
