About the Role We are currently looking for a talented 3D Animator to join our tightly knit group of artists and animators! The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for creating fun and exciting animations.You will work alongside our amazing animation team to create visually stunning animations for our upcoming and live games! Working as a 3D Animator you’ll apply imagination and artistic skill to create images of environment and moods, creating detailed scenes and worlds, including indoor, outdoor, and imaginary settings. The role is an initial three-month internship, with a strong possibility of an opportunity to get hired on a full-time role in the future depending upon your performance during the internship. Responsibilities within the role include but aren’t limited to: Use traditional and technological approaches to create designs in 3DCreate and implement both in-game and cinematic quality 3D character animation utilizing Blender and/or 3dsMax.Be able to implement animations into Unity’s animation tools.Collaborate with the animation team to conceptualize entertaining animation that meets the defined requirements of gameplay.Collaborate closely on existing and future projects with numerous teams.Possess both technical and artistic expertise to push the creative envelope to new heights while adhering to numerous quality and brand guidelines.Building accurate and detailed visualsCreating gameplay animations in line with the vision of the game’s story and gameplayResponsible for exploring innovative AR experiences.Identify and communicate any issues that will improve our product.Actively advance skill set and abilities by keeping aware of industry trends and techniques, evaluating competitive products, and learning new software packages Skills: You'll need to show:Creativity and uncompromising attention to detailA self-managing style with good time management and a responsible attitude to working with deadlines.Excellent 3D skills and knowledge of traditional art techniquesExperience using Adobe IllustratorExperience and knowledge of Unity is a plusPassionate about the art and culture of animationAbility to use technical software packages, such as Flash, 3ds Max, Maya, LightWave, Softimage and Cinema 4DArtistic talent and technical skillsA good eye for detailCommunication and storytelling skillsThe flexibility to work on several projects at once Requirements: You need to be based in the Greater London area.Unfortunately, we are not evaluating if you are currently living outside LondonMust have your own laptop which you can use and bring to workThe position is office-based, and you should be able to commit to 3 months, working a minimum of 4 days a week Who are we? Humanitarian Operations (HOPE) started as a ‘First Responder Disaster Relief Agency’ on September 1st, 2004, when the Bahamian Government became overwhelmed by the disaster and destruction caused by Hurricane Frances.The team has operated and provided much-needed assistance in every major disaster location since its formation, including the Haitian Earthquake, the Indian Ocean Tsunami, Hurricane Katrina, and the floods in India.It is impossible to quantify the number of lives that have been saved.
