Northampton Arts Collective ltd is the organisation behind NN Contemporary Art, a contemporary art space set within the cultural quarter in the centre of Northampton. We work with artists at all stages of their careers to present an international programme of contemporary art and multi-disciplinary events. The main purpose of the post is to act as the front of house of NN based in the Gallery, caring for artworks and being the first point of contact for the public. We work with artists at all stages of their careers to present an international programme of contemporary art and multi-disciplinary events.

The main purpose of the post is to act as the front of house of NN based in the Gallery, caring for artworks and being the first point of contact for the public. Providing administrative support as required to facilitate the smooth running of NN.
* Be the front of house first point of contact for our visitors, and administering visitor entry systems
* Invigilate artwork; protect fragile artwork from harm and theft, report any damage to NN staff
* Answer questions from the public and deal with enquiries in an appropriate, professional manner
* Duty manage the building as required, when other staff are not present
* Undertake any cleaning as necessary and ensure all public spaces are fit for public access
* Undertake visitor surveys, collate visitor data and report KPIs to NN staff
* Assist with exhibition installation and deinstallation if required
* Proofread exhibition information
* Opening and unlocking public spaces if required
* Handling petty cash, cashing up and accounting for any income\/expenditure
* Assisting with running public events
* Assist with the safety of staff and visitors in the gallery
* Communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to a wide range of visiting public
* Provide marketing support directed by the Digital Content Curator to include: uploading and monitoring of social media content, uploading content for NN\u2019s digital newsletter, flyer\/poster distribution and maintenance of distribution database, archiving of digital and print copy and other tasks as directed.
* Monitoring shop stock and sales, reporting information to the Finance and Office Manager
* Provide support to the Education and Engagement programme as directed by the Education and Engagement Producer
* Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of NN
* Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc
You will need to have a degree in one of the following to be suitable for this role:

Photography, Illustration, Fine Art, History of Art or Design
