Applications are now closed for our 2021 graduate programmes. We will launch our next recruitment campaign by the end of September 2021 which will be for our September 2022 intake of graduates. In the meantime, you can register your interest and we will contact you when our recruitment campaign goes live.

We're looking for bright, ambitious graduates with a genuine interest in SSE and the prospect of a long term future with us to join our Graduate Programmes. Our Programmes are designed with our core values in mind and we can offer you a structured and challenging development programme where you'll have the support of our Employability Manager and a business mentor to assist you in reaching your full potential.

You will play a key role from day one in helping the business maximise value from our operating assets, and ensuring we achieve our ambitious capital investment plans. You'll spend time developing your skills across different business areas and will take individual responsibility for real results at each stage. This will involve some travel to sites throughout the UK to gain practical exposure to certain business areas therefore a full UK driving licence would be an advantage.

For this programme, you'll ideally have a minimum of a 2:2 in a relevant degree discipline, along with related work or project experience. You will have previous experience of working in a team environment and will be used to setting stretching individual targets and using your own initiative to overcome challenges.

You should have an interest in the energy industry and show alignment with SSE's core values. We also ask that you have a flexible approach to work locations and be genuinely committed to developing a career with us – as we are with you.

Please visit our Graduate web pages for more information about the Programme:

Please note: This is purely a registration of your interest so we can keep you updated on our Graduate Development Programme vacancies. Once the recruitment campaign begins you will be notified via the email address you provided here and you will then need to complete a full application form.
