Job Description

We are looking for a confident and well-presented catering/chef manager who can lead both a front of house and back of house team within a school environment. The operation evolves being hands on in the kitchen ensuring that all food is prepped for service, liaising with clients regarding the operation, menus and leading the team to compass catering standards. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of compass system Nexus, allergens and hold an enhanced DBS.

This role evolves working both front of house helping with service and being hands on with the operations and working back of house with the chef team to ensure all menus are correct and food is prepped correctly for service.

Interacting effectively across client and operational functions, to manage your team to superior operational and business performance.
Support the management team in the effective liaison with the client to ensure the continual development of the guest journey.
Provide primary link between front of house team and culinary team.
Ensure all team members consistently demonstrate exceptional customer care and knowledge of current menus, including basic knowledge of ingredients and how the dish is cooked
Confident to take on both positive & negative feedback, provide a resolution and communicate to senior management where necessary
Leading and motivating a team of chefs, whilst remaining driven to complete your tasks and supporting them to complete their own.
Ensure all ingredients are available for the entire menu matrix including relevant dietary requests.
Delegation of roles in order to prepare food to menu specifications ensuring that Levy standards and procedures are followed.

Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Comfortable to walk & stand during majority of shift. Min. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent Self-assured when working alone Enhance DBS – We can support with this process
