Job Description

Salary: £highly competitive valuable benefits

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Water Hygiene Technician to join an enthusiastic team based in the South West of England, delivering water hygiene / legionella control services to a wide range of clients across the UK with the UK's number one testing, inspection and compliance company. The role will predominantly be based around the Bristol/Gloucester M4/M5 corridor, however, there will be a requirement to travel to other parts of the country to support the larger team.

Client focused and quality driven, we are a leading provider of Water Hygiene and Legionella Control services. Now we need a self-motivated, enthusiastic and mobile Technician. Experience in providing water hygiene services including temperature monitoring, tank cleaning and TMV servicing is an advantage, however, we are also open to training and developing the right candidate so if you are practical and hands-on with good attention to detail and are flexible and willing to travel, this may be the role for you.

You will:

  • Carry out Water Hygiene tasks at a variety of locations
  • Travel around the UK supporting the team as required
  • Be willing to progress and train in Water Hygiene tasks, if required

About you:

We're looking for a professional, dynamic and motivated individual with the ability to work alone and as part of a team.

Communicative, organised, flexible and committed, you must also:

  • Preferably have experience in Water Hygiene tasks (but not essential, we are happy to train)
  • Be willing to travel throughout the UK and Ireland
  • Be able to work as part of a team or alone
  • Have a full UK driving licence

In return, we offer a competitive salary, and all the benefits of working for a dynamic and growing organisation including company vehicle, generous holidays, company pension and discounts on high street shopping.

With over 100 years of history, SOCOTEC is the UK's leading provider of testing, inspection and compliance services, operating across three sectors and offering an unrivalled range of technical expertise and accredited services, including consultancy. Proud of our innovative nature, customer focus and drive to continually improve, we put people at the heart of what we do, employing more than 1500 people throughout a nationwide network of UKAS accredited laboratories and offices, serving over 7000 customers.
