You are responsible for

Our team of respiratory care scientists is looking for an intern to manage and operate innovative respiratory care equipment centered around a novel mechanical ventilator, the Philips VX850. The equipment supports research projects with testing, characterization and validation of new sensors and generation of respiratory waveform data. Training will be provided, and once familiar with the setup, the intern will participate in said research projects.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • The fundamentals of mechanical ventilators

  • Developing, testing and using equipment setups, including data acquisition

  • Developing, testing and using computer simulations in MATLAB/Simulink

  • Developing, testing and using software applications in Python

  • Programming Languages:  MATLAB, Python, C/C++.
