Your Opportunity

  • Apprenticeship Quality Officer, Healthcare.

  • This is a UK work from home position and national travel is required (including regular meetings in Lichfield Staffordshire approx. twice monthly).

  • Permanent and full-time position working 37.5 hours per week.

  • We now have an exciting and rewarding career opportunity for an Apprenticeship Quality Officer – Healthcare, to join our family where you’ll support the Senior Quality & Compliance Manager in ensuring the quality of the apprenticeship provision in line with military contracts and compliance with all relevant standards. You will be responsible for our Defence Medical Services Apprenticeship programme and provide support in the delivery of Apprenticeship Standards and formal qualifications.

    In this role, you’ll coordinate a programme of teaching/assessment observations to monitor, advise on and promote effective teaching, assessment and learning. This will include providing support/guidance to the administrative and learning delivery staff, Assessors and IQAs in relation to quality requirements and processes.

    Your role will involve coordinating internal and external audits in line with company policy, including maintaining a schedule of internal funding and quality checks, along with internal and external inspections. You’ll be updating and maintaining policies and procedures and supporting the development and management of flexible/supported methods of learning to assist Apprentices through their learning journey, including the use of e-learning, e-portfolios and e-platforms.

    You’ll conduct monthly sampling of online Apprentice outcomes and implement/manage all agreed Quality Assurance and Risk Management Systems along with developing a quality provision/service. You’ll ensure that all Apprentice and Employer resources/learning materials are kept up to date and relevant and contain adult tone and relevancy. Your role involved supporting in the production, and updates where necessary, of the following quality related reports:

  • Contribute to the Self-Assessment Report/s and Quality Improvement Plan/s

  • Internal Ofsted reports

  • Moderation of Observation Teaching, Learning & Assessment (OTLA)

  • Employer and Apprentice/Learner Feedback reports.

    We are looking for experience in the work-based learning sector, ideally within Healthcare Apprenticeships and a professional background in the Clinical Healthcare sector. It would be an advantage to have experience in a Quality position along with practical experience of developing/improving Apprenticeship delivery. Appropriate teaching/assessing/quality assurance qualifications (eg. DTLLS, D32/33/34 or equivalent) are essential. This role will require an understanding of the Education Inspection Framework and ESFA funding compliance along with experience of Ofsted inspections and ESFA audits.
