Engineering Apprentice – Siemens Healthineers – Sudbury

Over the courseof your apprenticeship, you’ll gain skills through on the job and formaltraining at college. Over time, you’ll take on more responsibility andaccountability as your skills, knowledge and expertise increases.
This is a fantastic challenge for any student to enter the world ofSiemens medical devices and understand the world of manufacturing in accordanceto FDA regulations. This apprenticeship will allow the candidate to work withthe Production Engineering team to not only develop basic core skills but alsodevelop the understanding on PLC’s, software and digitalisation across allSiemens Sudbury facilities and have a good understanding of all aspects ofcompany departments.
You’ll need to be available tobegin this apprenticeship in September 2021 and will completea 2-year Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in EngineeringManufacture. Suitable candidates may be supported toprogress onto the Engineering Manufacturing Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship.

Training & Development:
The successful candidate will complete a 2-year HigherApprenticeship in Engineering Manufacture with equivalent to a BTECPearson Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Engineering. This requires18-months of college attendance one day per week. The final 6 months of will befocused on completing a skills portfolio during work-based learning. Oncompletion, the apprentice will receive Professional Engineering Institutionstatus ‘EngTech’.
Suitable candidates will have the option to be supported to progress onto the Engineering Manufacturing Degree Apprenticeship Level 6, which includesHigher National Diploma L5, BEng Honours L6.
