Job overview

To provide comprehensive administrative support and assistance to the Workforce Education
Department by carrying out a range of duties to support the efficient functioning of the team.
This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate complete the nationally recognised
Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. The completion of this diverse and
transferable apprenticeship pathway will take approximately 18 months to complete.

Main duties of the job

Assist in the day to day support of the Workforce Education Team by:

  • Completing scanning and printing tasks to support existing team
    members
  • Accurate filing of Trust documentation
  • Ordering of stationary as required
  • Complete room booking for meetings and training upon request
  • Updating promotional notice boards across the Trust
  • Manage own email account
  • Letter writing and distribution
  • Prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
  • Recording and distributing meeting actions
  • Create, maintain and update databases
  • Produce records and documents using MS Office
  • Support with website and social media updates
  • To support with promotional activities both internally and externally
  • To undertake other administrative duties as and when required, as
    directed by the Line Manager in order to aid the smooth running of the
    department
  • Operate in accordance with GDPR legislation and compliance with the
    Trust’s organisational procedures

    An exciting apprenticeship opportunity has arise in the Workforce Education Team, providing administrative support to the team. 

    The team are responsible for both clinical and non-clinical education across the Trust. This includes Apprenticeships, Widening Participation, Preceptorship, Pre-registration, Post-Graduation, Care Certificate and Continual Professional Development (CPD).

    The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support and assistance to the team by carrying out a range of duties to support the efficient functioning of the team.

The completion of this diverse and transferable apprenticeship pathway is a mandatory part of the role and will take approximately 18 months to complete.

    Detailed job description and main responsibilities

    The Apprentice Administrator will provide support and assistance for all office
    administration tasks for the department. You will work both independently and as
    part of a team. You will support in the development, implementation, maintenance
    and improvement of administrative services. The successful candidate will be
    allocated a Mentor to support once in post and to complete the Apprenticeship
    Standard. You will receive training, support and guidance from your mentor during
    your time on-programme.

  • Willingness to undertake and complete the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard
  • Willingness to undertake and complete Level 2 Functional Skills English and maths if required
  • Educated to GCSE Grade A-C/4-9 or equivalent
  • Proficient in IT skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including databases
  • Proficient in the use of the internet and social media
  • Able to describe own employability skills
  • Effective written and verbal communications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management skills
