To become a Therapist, you must be sincere in terms of your objectives within Mental Health and SEN - this is key to you excelling within the role, sincerity is the key.

This role is one in which you will need to be pragmatic and patient, understanding the contexts that effect mental health and that are at play. Each student will have a different contexts and will have been through different traumas. There is a focus on Primary and intermediate learning in this role, you will be part of an extensive EYFS and KS1 team. This role could set you up for a PGCE or other form of teacher training, very well.

This is a fascinating LSA role set in the heart of Windsor and Maidenhead, focussed on positive reinforcement, ensuring a path for students who have been excluded from their mainstream education, back into the mainstream. This is a LSA role that requires patience, empathy and a lot of your time, there are zero quick cures and miracle solutions in a role like this. Some of the outstanding foundations you set, you may not get to see the pleasing outcomes immediately. Patience and empathy is the true skill here.

Ideal role for an aspiring Art Therapist or Psychologist, these roles should appeal also appeal to graduates interested in Social, Youth and Criminal Justice. Looking at the Socio- Economic, class, race and faith factors that affect mental health and the approaches to mental health, is a crucial area.

This LSA role for a creative graduate, in a specialist autistic school for boys and girls aged 03-16 that have switched from their mainstream education. There are no quick fixes here, if you have a utopian idea of being able to 'save' every student, you will not succeed. You may help plant ideas that you will not see the full, positive effects or end results from, know that they are there and will happen. The school is a great development base for Psychology graduates who are sincere and know your objectives.

Understanding the dichotomies, diversity and cultural effects on mental health in an area like Dorking, is vital to being able to have the stoic and durability nature to thrive in this role. Maintaining behaviour of the students, where possible and raising academic achievement, can be difficult.

***EFS, KS1 and KS2 focused, specialist focus of 1:1 and small groups. Continuity with Autism being one of the big keys. Very diverse school in terms of class, faith and heritages.

***Specialist Autistic and SEMH school, mixed students, 3-16

***£75 per day, LSA role is for the academic year to July 2021, 8.15 to 16.15

***SALTs, OTs and ABA Tutors in place

***Working 1:1 with at least pupils with varying degrees of SEN from Mild Learning Difficulties to Severe Autism.

Education and Training provided online and within the school
