Job Description

We are looking for a Trainee Marketing Executive to join our Digital Marketing team. This is a very data focussed role so an interest/ experience in Google Ads / PPC is desirable! You'll be working with lots of data, tracking performance and presenting this information back in decks so a degree in Maths, Statistics, Technical Marketing, Digital Marketing or similar is important. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with numbers, enjoys maths and likes understanding the stats behind the data!

Working in a growing and dynamic marketing team, the Trainee PPC Executive will report into the Senior Paid Search Executive. You will provide support to continually develop and deliver improvements to our PPC and PLA activity, in order to maximise the profitable acquisition of new customers and generation of sales from existing customers via the channel.

You must have an interest in data analysis and have strong mathematical skills, plus a passion for online and a willingness to learn. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and our media agency so good communication skills are essential.

About the Role: -

  • Contributing towards the reporting process for all campaigns, including reviewing engagement, performance and key KPIs against objectives.
  • Review competitor activity weekly to identify any opportunities.
  • Working alongside key internal stakeholders to plan and execute activity.
  • Work with the external media agency & key partners.
  • Monitor & work with the agency & channel manager to support optimisation of all activity.
  • Work with the partners to explore new and innovative opportunities.
  • Interpret market insights and make recommendations for channel activity optimisation.
  • Ensure budgets are being managed effectively for your key categories.
  • Daily performance checks to monitor activity and profitability by category.
  • Collaborate with other paid media channel teams on campaigns to drive performance.


Eager to develop a career in Digital Marketing.
Highly numerate and strong excel skills.
Exceptional attention to detail
Logical – finds it easy to problem solve.
Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and the external marketing agency.
Hardworking and able to both work independently as well as part of a team.
Knowledge of PPC, Google Ads and/or Search Ads 360 platforms would be an advantage but is not essential.
